Hello and welcome to my online portfolio. I am a museum professional and writer based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

I work as a Clerk at Barnsley Museums, we run five museum sites, Experience Barnsley Museum, The Cooper Gallery, Cannon Hall Museum, Elsecar Heritage Centre, and Worsbrough Mill. My role within the collections team includes a number of different tasks from hosting monthly acquisition panels, accessioning objects, digitalising our collection to writing blogs and providing admin support for the team. I can honestly say it’s my dream job.

As a writer I have contributed articles on art history to publications including The Dalesman, Memories of Barnsley, Yorkshire Life and the Readers Digest. In recent months I have been writing fiction, something I wish to explore further.

My education includes a degree in art history and an MA in museum studies. I am currently working towards my AMA with the Museums Association. As a volunteer I currently sit on the board of trustees for the Social History Curators Group.
